Title: Rear shock squeak!
Post by: pro-five-oh on April 15, 2006, 10:31:26 PM
Hey everyone, my '88 Cougar's rear shocks make this horrible squeak when taking corners at times.  Its not the shocks, but what they mount to...which I  think is a coupla bushings, but I'm not sure. 99% sure the bushings were replaced a few years back.

Can I just lubricate the bushings (after removing the shock) to make it shut up?

It's worth a shot.  Won't hurt anything.
