Title: Converting to manual brakes
Post by: 88tbirdproject on December 07, 2004, 01:52:48 PM
Ok I want to convert my 88 Thunderbird to manual brakes, I'm looking at the Aerospace Components kits on Jegs HERE (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=86615&prmenbr=361) , I was wondering what the different is between the model for 79-93 and 94-04 is and if the 94-04 model fits, would it be any better?
Thanks.

The 1994-up Mustangs have a few of those holes aligned differently. You could drill out your holes to line them up, but that doesn't make much sense when the 1979-93 unit would simply bolt right up.

Seems like a lot of work to make your stopping distances longer. ;)
