They come with 280 HP dual overhead cam 4.6's. But I'm sure he has some mods done to it.

That is a RWD 32V Intech V8.

Intech-schmintech, that's just a stupid name Marketing came up with to sound as cool as Northstar.  Its just Ford's  32v "Modular" V8.

I love mine. :)

I thought a MkVIII was gonna chase me the other day.  near rear ended me while I was turning onto an on-ramp, I slowed down so I could yell at him through my closed window an I see that huge brake light come on followed by reverse lights.  However, they never caught up with me (thought they could have if they'd tried and in VERY short work).  If I was ever going to buy a new-ish car, a MkVIII LSC would be the one.  What exactly makes an LSC an LSC, though? I've heard the bags are stiffer than a regular MkVIII, what  else?

Bags are the same, supposedly they got a thicker rear sway bar...but all Mark VIIIs are cushy yachts.  They don't handle that great, definitely not as well as my '88 XR7.

Main differences are true duals (all LSCs), perforated leather seats (all LSCs) 3.27:1 axle (all LSCs) and bumpers and doors with no chrome trim on the mouldings (1995-1996 only).

HIDs on a Gen 1 (stock only on the 96) and body color grilles on Gen 2s.
