The idea of a 1/4 mile track AND circle track at one raceway has been tossed around out here for about a year. They closed the only other track out her in '04. Hopefully this thing goes through. There aren't too many homes out here. Mostly offices for the County of Suffolk. Sur would be nice. Looks like they expect a lot of revenue with the amount of seating planned.....Possibly some sanctioned events.

thats very old, posted it a long time ago on the old site. Its not just a track/strip also ideas of atv park and other venues for concerts and such. Met the guys once at the farmingville car show at the ampitheater off LIE exit 63
I'd known about the proposed idea, just never found the website before I posted it. Heard anything new on it? I haven't heard anything since before Christmans.....
Someone sent me that link a few months ago. I was told Levy from Suffolk County is pushing for it. How great would it be to have a straight track back on long island? And there talking of bringing in NASCAR. NASCAR wants in the metro area.
They're making a push for more non-mullet fans:D
