Well if you do it right.

You will need mustang or equvilant headers, H pipe, a set of lers, and tail pips from a mustang which will need lengthened.

This will set you up with duel 2.5in system. 3" will be considerably more becasue most of it will need to be custom bent.

used mustang shorty headers - $30 - $50
summit stang h-pipe - $100
your favorite exhaust company catback system - $200+
3" Tips - $50?

about $400 total give or take.

A 3 inch exhaust is unnecessary unless you are above the 400 HP mark.  What else do you plan on doing to the motor in this car besides exhaust?  If you plan on keeping it stock you may be better off with 2.25" exhaust.

Dont go to MIDAS. They dont do custom work. They only do factory style overpriced bolt on . I recently went to a MIDAS with a friend to inquire about his pos honda civic wagon and they couldn't even do that because they had to special order the pipe. I noticed that there was no torch or welder even in the shop. Oh, and they wanted $475 for a singe cat-back replacement pipe and ler. He ended up going to a hole in the wall custom shop and they bent him up a cat-back system from scratch for $125 including the ler.

DO NOT GO TO MIDAS!

Actually, there is a Meineke about 3 miles from my house that does a ton of custom work.  They get a lot of business from that alone.........

Find a hole in the wall shop. I have found that these guys do much better work because there wallets will hurt if they do py work.

I had duels put on my 88 bird. He replaced everything from the manifolds to the tail pipes, all custom bent all fully welded.
