Title: coil springs

does anyone know anyway short of having to chop the springs or buying those cheap little coil spring compressors lower a 1987 thunderbird 3.8 v6. some one told me mustang svo springs might fit but i need to confirm that. well thanks much

add weight to the car... 7-800 pnds should do it.

at least 2" lower or a noticable drop

no... i got my quote in a couple days. :) the price was ~$150 Front and ~$150 for the rear.

Other than that you could get a set of stock SN-95 Mustang Springs. Prolly want to get some for a V6 in the front. I believe coolcats.net has some info on the subject. I haven't had a v6 Bird/Cougar so I don't remember what springs you really need.

nvm i think im just going to get the SN-95 springs cuz 2" is exactly the amount of drop im looking for. now those will for sure fit my car?

Ummm  you will not get any drop with sn 95 springs in the front.  I had to cut mine.  Mine were GT springs but from what I've seen every newer v6 mustang out there has like 4 inches of space above the tire in the front.    You would have to cut the fronts, and yea its a tad bouncy.
