Title: T-5 transmission question
Post by: siscrew on March 21, 2006, 04:42:17 PM
I found a T-5 on ebay that looks like it might go for pretty cheap, but there is a catch of course: it states in the description that

"The front collar over the input shaft has been broken in shipping , other than that it is supposed to be a good transmission."

What exactly does that mean, as I've never seen one of these, and don't know how hard that would be to repair/change.

edit: I've added the picture they have on ebay.

I'm guessing it's the thing the throwout bearing slides back & forth on. If it's anything like any other manual tranny I've worked on it should be easy to replace...
