hey i am new to the board, and i just got this '88 and i can not find
the fuse for the engine temp:dunno:
...gauge?
i think he's asking what fuse is it in the box under dash???
There isn't one.
There is, however, a fusible link (one of the huge wires attached to the starter solenoid) that goes to one side of fuse #1 (which has nothing to do with the gauges), continues to the ignition switch, which sends power to the instrument cluster's internal voltage regulator, which powers the gauges (including temperature), which is then variably-grounded by the temp sensor on the engine.
What the...?! What's up with the two user id's ? Same person :wtf:
yeah i had trouble,so i made a new e-mail account.good eye:) i had trouble becoming a
member under that id...but i had find a new user name.thanks for the help...
usually, its the gauge sender, not a fuse or fusable link
were is the location of that part, don't hate but i've had a honda
for the last 15-20 years.but i needed a second car for work,and a kid
down the street had it for sell,so i drove it and for hundred plus mile
car it drives nice.now i think i want to put a little money into it and
keep it.so i might be asking alot of questions.thanks again...
what engine is in your car?
i got the 3.8 v6 it has 174-plus but it runs strong.i notice that oil is
leaking.the old owner said he had the oil sending unit changed.i think
either the bolts aren't tight or a gasket wasn't put on...
