Post by: fordguy on March 15, 2006, 07:21:41 PM
i'm slowly replacing my tools now, lost them all in the fire. anyway just went to sears and they had a sale. got a 3 ton floor jack, stands, and a creeper for $129. it's the good jack, not the tiny piece of shiznit one.

i've never had a problem with their jacks. i had 2, a 2 1/2 ton and a 3 ton that i lost in the fire. the 2 1/2 was about 17 years old and the other was about 8. both worked great(until they burned up :giggle:

me neither. I have a 2.5 ton that's older than me. But I figured I'd post that anyway since it's such a coincidence:giggle:

Thats 'cause theyre old, alot of sears new stuff is shiznit, but its got warranty so i'll still buy handtools there.

My little 1 ton floor jack died a couple weekends ago  after 6 years of abuse, picked up another one for $23, theyre good for brake jobs and stuff around the yard.

you'd be surprised the deals i get at sears considering i work their. i usualy only end up paying 50% of the normal price. dont forget eather, sears price matches. also, the position i have makes me able to check out used merchandise, "used meaing bought and returned" and take around 30% off the top for being opened, then buying it myself lol. and using my disscount, and sometimes the additional assiciate disscount on special days.

I got my 3 1/2 ton pro series floor jack and stands when it was on clearance a while back for 75 bucks. Only diffrence between mine and the new ones is that they now have rubber on the lift pad and they cost about $150.
