WTF I've never heard of that file extension before but I'm gonna take a stab in the dark that you made it on Microsoft Windows Movie Maker?? If that is the case I'd bet there is a way you can get it to save as or export to .wmv seeing as how that is MS' most standard video format these days.
yes i did make it on Microsoft Windows Movie Maker. i tryed to save as but .mswmm was my only option to save it . How do I export this ? i'm not a computer guy so im not quite sure how to do it
thanks

I would have assumed that it would have an option somewhere under file to export it as something else. I'm at work now, but I'll check it out later when I get home.
try exporting it out of windows media as a .wmv to your documents
and if that dont work try exporting it to your documents as .mpg
:bs: there HAS to be a way to use a different file format. i have used movie maker many times. unfortunately i dont have it on the comp im using right now, but somewhere in the process theres an option to choose the format. if i get around to it tonight, ill check the other computer in my house that has it, and see how to do it and post back here.
I have found the problem:dunce: i didnt do the final save to my computer . so i can up load it now but it going to take like 4 hours.:dunno: . what is the smallest format but still has quality with it . zondaC12 still post how to do it because 4 hours is way too long , and with my dial up . ill never complete it.
thanks

get high speed and join the 21st century? or just wait like the old days.
well, how big is the file you made, in megabytes (MB)? for uploading a video online you ought to keep it under 15 mebagytes if you can. i have broadband and can download 15 megs on average in a minute or less, but for users like yourself with dialup it will be much longer. upload always takes longer than download also. so it will take more time to upload the same file than it would to download it after its put online. however, 4 hours is awfully long.
tell me how big it is, and how good your sound and video quality is right now, and we'll see how far we can compress the file and still have the quality reasonable.
well. i live in the middle of buttfluck no-where. out in the boonies . there is no high speed cable out here and satlite internet is very expensive . as for the old days . i havent experanced the new days with high speed . lol
thanks

its 3:00 mins long and 35.3 mb . some of the clips are really bad (distorted ) some are good . as for sound . its good . im not really the guy to be asking about quailty . but in my opinon its ok . what eles do you need to know ?

Can you burn it to disk and take it to a local library with high speed connections to upload it there?
^^^ aha! now theres a thought. yes 35 megs is gonna bring your dialup connection to its knees trying to upload. but its also 3 minutes long so i dont know if you oughta make the quality even less.
yes i can do that .but im on spring break right now so i dont have a way to get to the library . i think ill just wait and do it one day at school :yuck: next week .
thanks to everyone who helped. i will post the link asoon as i get somewhere with high speed .
can you steal satilite internet like you can t.v ?
