Title: Positive for nirvanagod
Post by: siscrew on March 08, 2006, 03:23:05 AM
What can I say, probably one of the best transactions I ever made. I bought a 1987 Thunderbird LX from him, and promptly drove it 900 miles back to my place. The car performed superbly, and I am more than happy with its condition. Besides the great price, he included a full tank of gas (it lasted me 500-odd miles - car gets good mileage), a trunk-full of goodies, and helped me get temp tags from the BMV.
Once again, a great guy, and I fully recommend doing business with him

And I must send a positive right back in the direction of Siscrew! He was great to work with and very understanding given the cirspoogestances of being three states away. As i've stated before, i'm very happy to have been able to sell the old girl to someone who understood these cars, and would be willing to finish the stuff that I wasn't able to, and bring the car back to it's former glory. It's also awesome to hear that she performed so well with gas milelage and in general, other than the that one no start thing! But i'd definatly do business with him again, i'll definatly keep you in mind if I ever have to sell another car!

By the way, I figured out what caused that no-start - the column shifter is pretty sensitive as to where P is located, and it triggered the interlock. As soon as I wriggled it a little, it disengaged and she started right up.
