Title: Parting out 86' 3.8 T-Bird
Post by: Sduneman3 on March 08, 2006, 01:12:55 AM
The body on this car is a total rust bucket.  The interior is grey, and isn't to bad.  dash has cracks.  The Glass is good.  So is all the tail lights, and head light benzels.  I need to make it go away.  It is all there, except for the motor, trans, exhaust is shot, and wheels/tires.  It doesn't have posi.  Anything else is there.  Oh, and the passenger mirror is broken.  Everything worked electronically, except the digital dash (had some light bulbs burnt out, I think)

Any one that wants anything off of this car, let me know.  It is going to be gone by the end of the spring.
I live in Dyersville, IA 52040 (Near Dubuque, IA)

any way I could get the bolts for the accesories and timing chain cover? Its a fair bit of work, but it would help me out alot. I am having problems finding 3.8's in my local yards.

I will get some pics by the end of the week.  It is sitting in a garage out at my grandpa's farm.  And the engine is gone.  I pulled it out along with the tranny.  The car only had 60,000 miles on it.  I was going to drive it, but the strut tower had a ring that was rusted out.

Haystack, I might be able to get the one off of my cougar.  Last month, I put it in a dirch, and bent the frame pretty good.  How soon do you need them?

I can wait a while. I am not hitting the junkyards till alot of the snow melts. Also, I dont really need the timing chain cover, But I dropped mine somehow I think, and I bent up the bottom of it. Lemme know though. It would be much appreciated.

If it's bent up and won't seal properly than you will probably want a new one.  Mine had a crack in it and was leaking coolant like crazy.

ok, for accessory bolts, do you need them all?  or just for specific parts.  If you could tell me which ones that you want the bolts for.

Hi Sduneman, I'm looking for a few misc. parts. I need the clear lens cover for the left side of the license plate  recess area (triangular shape),also the trim pieces for the front face of the dash and the 3 pieces of the dash that go under the steering wheel along the bottom of the dash. Also, the console panel where the window and mirror controls are located. I may also be interested in the interior door panels if they're in good shape. Thanks, Jeff

hmm.  sorry didnt see this for a couple of days. I had all my bolts sitting in a bucket by my car, and my little brother decided he needed a bucket to make a fort out of the snow, long story short, I dont know which ones I need, and which ones I dont a good majority if not all of them would be great. That is alot to ask though. This would include accesories if at all possible.. What would a price be for a passenger side tail light?
