First time I've seen an 87 or 88 XR-7 with a cloth top.

I've only ever have seen 1 before.... In fact I think I seen a picture of a red cougar like that on the net before.... might be the same one. It's not bad looking, but I feel that it's taking away our unique triangular windows (one of my favorite parts of a cougar)

. He/she painted the Cougar heads in the center caps just like I did with mine.
Interesting.

the JY that I bought the TC from has an '87 with the half-vinyl top.
Also has the 5.0 and a  nice interior...
Wonder what he's gunna do with it....probably gonna crush it
I don't think it was wrecked, but then again at first I didn't think the TC was all that bad either, but it really has been hammered on the front, the front subframe has been bent up, there's hella gaps between the door and fenders...
But anyway, back to the subject, I think they kinda give it that Caddy-esque kind of appeal...I'd hit it!

I seen many of those. Not that uncommon in my area. You know guys, I get tons of Cougars and TBirds in my junkyard all the time. Most are just the plain-jane V6 cars but it is not uncommon to see our cars in my yard.

I've seen plenty of LS Cougars with these tops but that is the first 88 XR-7 I've seen or remember seeing with a cloth top.

These cars just shouldn't have cloth tops. They don't fit in witht he lines of the car.
