Oooooohhh a black bird. Specifically a TC...Very nice! It was a simular car that actually started my cravings for a Fox body. It was an all black 89 TC. But the car was junked because of the cost of repairs for brakes.

This car has sn95 front brakes and Mark VII rears, parts for both of which are readily availible so I don't think I'll have that problem :D

The main problem with the owner of the TC i was refering to was that he was a cheep ...basicly i felt sorry for that car because of the way he treated it. Last i checked he replaced the TC with a riced out civic.

It was a Black TC so it had to been an 88 didnt realize thats when they switched. Either way the car was put in the junkyard in near mint condition with worn out brakes....I was about ready to kill the guy when i found that out. Because...i want a TC!!!!!

yeah, I was out in a jy yesterday, looking for a 5.0 for my '88, and came across an '88 TC.
It was gettin' ready to be crushed because the front end was boogered up some, looked like a deer hit, so I made a deal with the guy, I may yet end up with the car, but it ain't got a title...
So, at least I'll save the drivetrain, and use some of the good stuff.
Already took the interior and put it in mine.

Get this, I got the snowflakes and the whole interior and elect. fan and shroud for 105 dollars!
Like i said, I may be able to buy the whole car...I'm keepin my fingers crossed...

Yep.  Paul has a couple SVO's (in a lot better shape than that one) I believe that white one was sold last year some time.

Actually, they made TC's in 89. And 90, and 91. In Mexico:hick: I've have quite a few pics because I've been trying to drag one home for years.:D  All 87-91 TC's were the same in Mexico. They have 83-86 noses on a 87-88 car with a non-functional scooped hood, 83-86 style turbo set-up, and never had bigger than 15" wheels. The reasoning behind that? In Mexico they like regular headlights better (ala 83-86 Bird) because they don't have the parts store on every block like us. Hence the 15" wheels as well.

Were they made in Mexico?  You made me remember something really cool. I remember when I was a kid my family went to Ixtapa, saw a 1985-ish Bird on the streets (it was new back then) and the rear quarter panel on each side had a badge that said "Mexico" on it.

The badge was in the same font as the rear decklid badges. Super cool. I'd love to find one of those. :)

Always seemed that Pecker has had quite a few SVO's from time to time. Nothing new with him.
