Title: automatic parking break release vac line?
Post by: thunderjet302 on February 28, 2006, 05:27:32 PM
I remember reading which one of the lines on the vac tree by the power brake booster led to the automatic parking break release but I can't remember which one it is. I want to pull it and cap it because that  hissing is getting annoying and I don't use it any ways. Thanks.

I would plug it at the pedal :)

Find where the steering column goes through the firewall from the inside. You should find a curved white 1/4 circle piece held down with 2 screws, just pull the 2 vaccum lines off it. I used a piece of dowel rod to plug and connect the 2 lines together so that the would be sealed and not go anywhere.

SO thats what the line going to my parking brake release is? I didn't know '88s even had them. How can I make mine work? It was never operated but I have a line down there. Sorry about hijacking.
