well i found the sorce to my speedo issues take a peek.....

yes it twisted apart on me! so i think the gear is wdged in too so ill be changing the gear as well. so anuone have a speedo cable out of a 84 cougar?

Is that speedo cable stock? I thought all 83-88 Tbirds/Cougars had a VSS sensor.

yes the cable is stock. i got the famouse no info gages. know of anyone who has one?
