The one that really bugs me is "loose" and "lose". I really wanna go around telling people "'Lose' is the opposite of win.. 'loose' is what your sister is" to get them to stop. :p

One of my pet peeves is when people confuse "your" and "you're."

Of course I always refrain from pointing it out for fear of being branded a grammar puppies.

My personal peeve is "Definately". There is no "a" in "Definitely".

Another one is "phase", as in "that doesn't phase me". The correct word is "faze". As in "I was unfazed".

The absolute worst, though, is "AOL English". You know the : "UR 2 Kewl" and such nonsense.

While I'm about it, I may as well bitch about BEARMAX'S ALL CAPS TYPING! J/K, Bearmax, although you're one of the worst offenders - typing in all caps comes off as rude. MY EYES ARE FINE, THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT!

...And then there are the ones that will type a thousand words without using so much as a period comma capital letter or line break they generally come from newbies looking for answers to tech questions and go to great lengths to describe their problems even making attempts at describing the sounds and sights and also exactly what they were doing how fast they were going and what the weather was at the time of the malfunction or problem but although they have great memories and provide lots of info they do it in a very confusing matter that makes it hard to read and if its hard to read its hard to tell what the problem may be I generally don't even read those posts

"that doesn't phase me".

What if Spock's got a busted one pointed at you. (It can happen. Vulcan (http://"http://www.town.vulcan.ab.ca/") is only a couple of hours from here.)

The one that gets me is irregardless. The word doesn't exist. Try looking it up some time. It was an ugly ization of 'regardless' and 'irrespective'.

Oh, if I had a dollar for every time I saw people use your when they should REALLY be using you're, I'd be friggin' rich.

And yes, that is one of those things that drives me insane.

Just like when people say "breaks" when they're talking about BRAKES.

I also hate the internet grammar. u, ur, lol, w/e, b/c, ppl, all those abbreviations- I hate them with a passion. I know people all over the net use them, including people here, so I quietly tolerate it.

hahah. I do use some of the aol short cuts, just cause I am on IM's so much. but i normally limit it to (two/too?) ppl and bbl or bbiab. The rest I will normally type out cause it really doesn't take long to type once you learn how.
Even though I suck mistype stuff all the time.

Anyways is another one of those non-existent words.  It's anyway, no s.  I get bugged by that one a lot.

By that post, your spelling is not bad. The grammar isn't really all that bad. But of the eight apostrophies you used here, only a couple of them are neccesary.

Most problems I have are with double letters. When do you use them, and when do you not? Loose and lose is one of those mistakes I make all the time. Like with the word 'Necessary' (which I left incorrectly spelled on purpose). First I typed 'necesary', then thought, "There's a double in there somewhere.". So I added another 'c'. It still looked wrong, so I did a spellcheck, and wouldn't you know it, I doubled the wrong letter.

I have the same problem with the double letter's.

oh well. If everyone was perfect life would be boring.

I can read a post and correct every mistake mentally but I couldnt type it correctly if my life depended on it. :D

I am bad with the apostrophies as well.  I say won't all the time!  Actually I've trained myself to put an apostrophie every time a "n" and  a "t" are together in a word even if it doesn't belong.  Another I'm bad about, different.  I always type differn't.  I don't say it that way, why I type it I don't know.

But what bugs me most is one big f'ing sentence in one big f'ing paragraph!  Like Carm said, I don't even read those!

And another thing!  This  me off alot!  Even if you do double space at the end of a sentence the  board changes it to a single space!?  !
