I have an '88 sport. I am going to be putting on brakes front and rear from a '96 Mustang. Can I reuse my rubber lines in the front if I have the SN95 banjo bolt? I am trying not to have to rig anything with that if I dont have to. I am going to make some lines and brackets for the rear so that I can have the discs in the back. Will I need to do anything with the prop valve, or the master cylinder? Am I going to need an adjustable prop vavle rigged in there somewhere?
I'm not too sure about that front line thing, I suppose I can check when I get around to it (I'm in the middle of a 5-lug conversion), but I'm leaning towards a no. If it were possible, or a good idea, someone would of done it by now. Besides, modding the brake lines isn't that hard, plus they have adapters too.
Did you check out this site? http://mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/mustang/mc.html
As for the last three questions... Yep.
I don't know about the caliper hoses or anything, but you will need a prop valve, i got mine fromg jegs for 40 bucks or so... and i know when i read on the coolcats site it says to change your mastercylinder to a turbocoupe one but i never did and i stop fine. Probably won't have to change it out, but if you have issues go for it.
I have SN95 hoses and banjo bolts, can I use those?
yes but they require adapters or double flaring and what not.
Youll need an adapter to go from your current hard line, to the SN95 rubber line.
ONly on one side. SN-95's use different fittings on the front hardlines.
One side is 7/16-24INF and the other is 3/8-24INF...So one side will fit as is and one will need an adapter.
Cool, thanks for the help guys.
