Title: Alternator drive
Post by: Fred on February 22, 2006, 09:22:30 PM
This may belong in Electrical, but here goes.  I wish to drive the water pump with a Moroso Drive Kit, but ran into the problem of the alternator belt hitting the w/p pulley.  This is on a '89 5.0L H.O. motor I'm putting in my T-Bird.  I would like to know if a different alt bracket would allow a belt from just the crank pulley to the alt.  This is a race only configuration I'm talking about.  Is it possible that an early bracket would work? Anyone know of a bracket to do this?  I have an A/C Eliminator Kit installed now, but would like to free up some HP by using the electric kit.  Thanks,  Fred
