GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE SO I CAN FINISH MY  CAR!!!!!

4 mofookie degrees... get the hell out... and take your friends snow and ice with you. Woo-hoo *sarcasm* i got a garage... also known as my icy grave. Not only is it cold, but it's dark. The garage has one light bulb (horribly placed) and two outlets sitting on a 15 amp circuit breaker. Can you say trip city? If this wasn't a rental I'd do something about it. And I can't believe I get excited about above freezing temps now. lol. I cannot wait to move back below the rust belt.

sorries... had to vent.

I know the feeling, I only get to see my car once a week.  I'm not allowed to work on it because the garage space my dad does have is for emergencies only...which is fine with me...I can wait...I don't have the cash flow right this second to do my car.  Even once it warms up I'll only get to see and drive it once a week due to the rear end needing work and exhaust to be done....Once I get a garage down here though....I'll tow it down here...I'll be ed if I have a place to work on my car and it still sits at home!

The cold is getting on my nerves too.
I just came back from upper 70 degree weather in Florida. It's now 30 degrees here.

I do work in the cold though.
Christmas morning a few years back, after I opened my new head unit, I put it in the car. Temps were in the 30's.
I also have changed an alternator in my mom's Malibu while standing in nearly a foot of snow.
It was in the 20's-30's when I put my Cobra manifold on.

Not to mention laying on the driveway freezing my rear off waiting for the oil to drain.

Here's an outfit to keep me toasty warm while working in the cold.
One pair of long john pants over tall socks with a long john shirt tucked into the pants. Then I'll put another pair of socks on that will come over the long john pants. Add a t-shirt. Then Jeans over the long john pants and a sweat shirt. Then an old heavy coat. Then I wear rubber surgical gloves and a skull cap.

That's for those extremely cold days. ;)
I may end up looking like the Michelin man but it works.

Yah guys I hear you. I got so much to do... for some reason this winter has been mild snow wise, but has been  cold since September. Hell I put the cougar way the first week of October. So yah this 2 degree temp is killing me.

The weather hasn't been TOO bad here, but not nice enough for me to get my car out yet. I'm waiting for temps to stay in the upper 40's-lower 50's on a regular basis before I do much. Plus the first thing I need to do is install a new tailshaft bushing in my transmission and replace the clutch...not really looking forward to all that :yuck:

Yep, just moved here Saturday. I went to the Dreamcruise last year and plan on going this year too. I'm pretty close to Woodward... not walking distance, lol...  but close enough. :D

Around freezing I can tolerate... to an extent. it's when the temp starts creeping around the teens and singles, when I start feeling it in my bones, is what I can't handle. I walk out that garage everytime with numb fingers and toes.

I have a hard time getting motivated to work on my car when it's cold outside unless it's something I HAVE to do. Plus since my thunderbird is always put away for the winter, I don't want to drag it out to work on something.

I remember one time a few years ago when I had to replace a line on the steering rack on my old '90 Mustang. It was about 20 degrees outside. By the time I was done I couldn't feel my hands or my feet. Not fun.
