Hey guys...I've found a good deal on a used f-303 cam, and I was trying to figure out if It would be too much for my current setup.
The 302 in my tbird has:
*comucams 2040 cam, .498 intake and exaust lift with my crane 1.6 roller rockers, and 220 degrees of duration at .050
* ported, gasket matched and polished with hogged out bowls Et7e heads with stock sized valves that are unshrouded.
* will have a explorer upper and lower intake(have to install)
*BBK equal length headers.
*65mm throttle body
All these parts will be transfered to a 351W this summer. Well, exept for the headers.
The F303 has these specs: .512 intake and exaust lift with 1.6 rockers
226 degrees of duration at .50
The AOD in my tbird has a 2400 to 2600 stall speed, but I'll have a five speed in hopefully by may. I plan on getting a set of gt-40 or world products iron heads. Anybody have any input?
The F-cam will actually see it's powerband sooner than it would in a 302 due to extra incoming air from displacement alone.
I also see by your sig you've done the mass air swap so you shoudn't have the idle issues the Ford alphabet cams normally give to speed density equipped cars.
Finally a response! Thanks Paul...
