Title: Can i change my grille?

Hey i was wondering if anyone had any idea's or information/pics or anything to help me with my 86 T-Bird Grille? i want to change the look of it?

you can always cut out the middle pary and put a mesh in it, and paint the rest the body colour

! thats kool what would i use for holding the mesh in? i have never done anything w/mesh so yeah lol..

My buddy used a hot glue gun, it worked really good.

Friend of mine who got my Escort from me took a grille off another Escort LX, cut out the center, and JB-Welded some mesh to it. It was a tedious process, but it looks pretty good now that he's done. It was similar to something I had always wanted to do to the car, but never found the material I wanted while I owned it. Of course, a couple months after he got it, I found the material. :giggle:

You could probably use something a little easier to work with, maybe like the hot glue suggestion.

The same screws that hold the grille onto the bezel are what's holding hte mesh in place, i just extended the mesh at the parts where it would screw in so it's screwed in right inbetween the mesh and the bezel.

I can take it apart tomorrow and snap some pics if you'd like.
