I know it's not a bird or cat, but I figured I would give you guys first shot at it, if anybody is intrested.
5.0L, 5 speed, new cat back exhaust (stock) car is bone stock with 173kms. Never seen winter, NO rust. Car has been in storage for the last 6 years. the owner brought the car out for a weekend at the track last year and ran 14.3's @ 95MPH. Interior is near mint, just needs a good cleaning and some pieces replaced. Make a reasonable offer.
More pics...
Last pic. Engine shot. The car DOES NOT come with the 5 star rims, and K&N filter. comes with the stock 10 holes. To tell you about the gentle life this car has had, the tires that are on the ten holes are the original tires my buddy bought and put on when he bought the car 13YEARS ago.
So the car doesn't run, or run well enough to drive very far?
Sounds like it's had an easy life for the past few years, I'm kinda interested in it...
I think by "engine shot" he means "a shot of the engine"...
Too bad that wasn't closer - it'd kill two birds with one stone for me: A donor for my HO/T5 swap and a place to put my 2.3t/5-speed :D
Thank the stars in heaven for that. Those things are hideous. 10 holes are much better on that body style. If I ever buy a fox mustang it will be a notchback. Looks like a solid car.
To each their own on tastes of rims. Personally, the only decent use I have found for ten holes, is to hang on the side of the barn to wrap the garden hose around. But that is just my opinion on them.
The motor is in perfect running order and has had a really easy life. It sat in the driveway for at least the past 8 years, driven occasionally. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this thing over 500 kms one way, non stop (except to get gas). This Stang is the best one I've ever had (out of 3 others). I don't really want to sell it, but I have to. I have 5 cars now and it is too hard to get anything done on them by spreading out the money.
Oh but before it goes on a long trip it NEEDS brakes {pads and shoes} (E brake does work) and tires.
ooh--how much for the white 5.0L by the barn?
Way more than it is worth. I paid $5,000 for that last summer with 265,000kms on it, and dumped another $3,500 into aftermarket parts in the first week of ownership. It is a solid car as well, but not worth it to sell for me. If I were to sell it I would have to get at least $4,000 for it. And it needs too much work right now to be worth that.
It needs a new GFX kit, exterior door handles, engine rebuild, clutch cable, and interior restoration. It was a really nice car when I bought it. Someone redyed a set of blue door panels and they are now flaking off. The dealer did a lousy job painting the car too. I got jipped on the deal, but it was the style of Stang I was looking for at the time. At least these things are cheap and easy to work on.
That seems to be a DECH ground effeects kit.Might want to repair that kit due to the fact they are no longer in bussiness.
Thanks,
Chris
You are corect. It is DECH and they are out of business, but there is a local company up here selling reproduction fiberglass kits. (which this one is) For really cheap. I think it is $500 for the whole kit and $1000 or $1,100 for the urethane one. My kit is unrepairable. Lost the entire bottom section of the front air dam. I removed the front section toady and decided to keep the front stock, but R&R the rear section.
how much for the notch?
What's it worth to you?
Make an offer.
What kind of mileage does the Stang get?
Not sure. I think the gas gauge needs a new sending unit. I know it is time to get fuel when the gauge starts to drop.
So how much are you seriously looking to get out of the mustang? I'm interested in it, but i dont want to lowball you.
I have it advertised up here in the "smartshopper" for $4,000 CDN or B.O., (obviously high) But I am willing to entertain serious offers.
I don't really want to seel it but if it does go it is to make room for an '86 Mustang GT.
Still have car for sale.
NEW PRICE.
$3,000 or b.o.
or trade for '85-'88 cougar/bird in same condition.
Would you be interested in any trades? I have a 1995 Cougar XR-7....93,xxx miles. 4.6L Auto. Great shape...needs title, bought it from an impound auction. Located in Cincinnati, OH.
so how much is that in american dollars. and how hard would it be to get it here in america. from canada? been looking for a notch
that is a really good price, canadian or not. Too bad you are all far and stuff.
If you had the title I may be intrested in it. Would like to see some pics though.
I have no idea how hard it would be to sell it legally across the border. I would accept $2,500 american for it though.:D
Post this puppy on the GTAMC. There a couple guys looking for what you have there...
