Title: Slowly getting parts :D
Post by: Bane on February 06, 2006, 03:24:13 PM
I know ya dont care since its for my mustang :p but I figured I would share anyway. Have to do a compression test today, #4 is making a weird noise from under the valve cover and seems a lil underpowered...hopefully everything works out.

So far i have the following layin in my room:
Lakewood 50/50 rear shocks
Lakewood traction bars
FMS B Springs

next will be some lakewood 70/30 front struts and possibly lakewood control arms, see a pattern?:giggle:

cyl 1: 130
cyl 2: 132
cyl 3: 132
cyl 4: 142
cyl 5: 150
cyl 6: 135
cyl 7: 139
cyl 8: 127

not to bad, but I realized the spout was still unplugged from checking the timing on friday, plugged it back in..whole new car lol.

yeah it all looks good till you get to cyl 8. not too sure on stock compression but that looks way off the others. not too sure if there could be an issue with that cyl or not. but did ya doble check that one to see if the pressure changed on 8?

i took to tests on each, then averaged them. it was 130 then 125. It didnt plug the spout in until I was done could that have anything to do with it?

Sweet deal. I really like the way your stang looks. Not ricy at all. Looks well done and well put together. Congrads on keeping a great looking car.

Did you remove all of the Plugs from the car when you ran the test?  You should remove them all at once and tie open the throttle plate.  Oh and unplugg the fuel pump relay or pull its fuse so its not trying to kick on when you bump the car over.

My cougar's 3.8 was 160 Psi  Across the board.  I was surprised.

ah nice, thats a very good looking color. My other mustang I had before I parted it out about this 90 was gonna be painted the mid 90's dodge blue. Intense Blue Pearl, found on the trucks and neons I think.
