Title: It's ALIVE
Post by: Dartman1074 on February 05, 2006, 08:30:28 PM
:locked:  The Cougar is back up and running after the head gasket job. Allthough when I got it running it was running ruff and didnt want to Idle and it wouldnt idle in gear, So I sent and picked up some WD40 to check for a vac leak and when I got back I started it back up and it sounded better so I sprayed the WD40 around and no leaks. Well then it started running Fine like nothing was ever wrong I have no idea why. All I know is I am HAPPY it's back up and runnning boy have I missed it..

if the car had been left with the battery un-hooked, the computer will erase all of it's adaptive memory, driveing it for 15-20 mins, and giving it a few cold starts, well allow it to re-learn adaptive idle stratgey
