anybody else have this? i never noticed gear noise untill i put this in and drove it around,... DAM its loud, its like a DC10 in my car. i was wondering if maybe the aluminum transfers noise more than the steel that my hurst was made from, or turbo coupe shifter was. anybody got any suggestions to quiet it down or why its so loud? the tranny fluid is full, and i have all of the sound deading around the shifter + dynamat lol.
is there a gasket on the bottom of the shifter or did you just use gasket sealer?
I have a UPR blue thunder, I never noticed much noise from it. In fact the only time I ever recall it making any noise was when I had it in my Mustang and you had it up around 4000 rpm (like when I was running at 80+ on the highway), the shifter would bang like crazy although I'm not sure why. Doesn't seem to do that in my thunderbird.

tri-ax's are known for their loudness. which prompted me to decide between a pro 5.0 or MGW.
yeah i had heard about the noise problem, but didnt expect it to be this bad, also i didnt know at the time about MGW's they look prety slick with all that adjustablity. when i got tremmic ill have to get one, as for now, i'll try some gaskets.
