Does anybody know how close a MN12 dash is to fitting inti a 86 T0bird. they look about the same general shape. Anyone tried this before

I saw an MN12 dash in a 1977 Thunderbird once...it wasn't pretty. The owner of the car hacked the dash on the passenger side. Took maybe about 8" out of it, then slapped some sort of plastic filler over the seam. I admired his ingenuity but the execution was lacking IMO.

I bring this up because that's what a Fox owner would have to do, to get an MN12 dash to fit. Any Fox car's dash will swap over, as will the aforementioned SN95 Mustang.

I've been pondering the use of a 96 up taurus dash.  The  car is about as wide as ours.
