what kind of 5.0 is in these cars? looks to have a set of 19 lb injectors in it. how about the E-7 heads? cast pistons? how about the trans ? does it have the long tailshaft?

'Tis the SO, unfortunately (at least if it's still the factory engine it is the SO). Ford used 'em in the T/C, C/V and G/M right up until 1991

yeppers, would make a good engine starting point, if you are looking for a swap. Otherwise, just a regular old 5.0

Yep Town Cars, G/M, and Vics had the 5.0 SO. So yeah it has cast flat top pistons and E6 heads. But if you're going to build it up and put new heads and a cam in it it should work good. All you need is a new set of pistons and you're fine. It's a roller block so all should be good with bolting on 5.0 Mustang parts.

yep, the lincoln mark 7 is the only lincoln too get the 5.0 HO. the town cars and continentals didnt. i suppose its a possibility that some of the limmos have them though, in need of a little more power.
