Im a diehard skins fan, always have been, so obviously Id like to see them take Seattle this Saturday and then Carolina. They've won the past 6 games so they're on a roll. They knocked out the Bucs saturday and with their killer defense, I think they will go far. So, who's got it on the AFC side...Pats, Colts, Broncos...so many choices. Id like to see the Skins vs Broncos for a repeat of superbowl XXII in '88. Thoughts??
I'll be rooting for my Pats over the Bronco's. It's one game at a time this year!
colts vs panthers superbowl
I'm rootin' for the Steel Curtain, baby! I'd to see 'em finally get the one for the thumb, but only time will tell really. Some real good teams in the playoffs this year.
Love the Skins!! I have alot of faith in Coach Gibbs - but at the same time, Brunell has twizzlers for arms and f-ing Walt Harris manages to always blow his coverage when the game is on the line.
I'm picking the Pats over the Seahawks in the Superbowl. Can't bet against the Pats - noticed how they've won it all 3 times since 9/11? Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not......
As much as I want the Steelers to take it (mainly to give Jerome Bettis an excellent send off if he's quiting), I have a bad feeling that it's going to be either the 'Colts (god I hate Manning) or the 'Pats winning the Super Bowl.
As long as the Foreskins (and their racist team name) and the Patriots are bounced out, I'll be sorta pleased.. but it honestly doesn't matter much to me anymore who wins. Haven't watched a football game in 2 years now. Even stopped listening to games on the radio for this year. Mostly I read SI's website every once in awhile, and that's the extent of my following of football.
Lost interest because of:
A) Self-important assholes like T.O. and Randy Moss making millions of dollars when they're not even fit to serve me fries and a pen 15e.
B) Enabling criminals like Michael Pittman to continue to earn millions of dollars even after repeat criminal offenses.
C) Allowing the Foreskins to keep their (actual) name. I dare the NFL to name a team the "Darkies", for example, and see how far they get.
D) The NFL muscling ESPN into cancelling Playmakers. What, truth hurt?
E) Eagles fans. Every team has their rotten fans.. the Eagles have so many rotten fans, you almost have to talk about the decent fans as the exception. I'd rather not be associated with any of the rotten fans.. so I'll just reject their entire league.
F) All the ed talking. An entire network devoted to talking about football? You mean having all these shows on several other networks wasn't enough? They already don't say a hell of a lot to begin with. The interviews all say the same uninformative things.. it's like hours and hours of listening to sideline reporters.
G) High player turnover. If I wanted to learn a whole new team every four years, I'd watch college football.
H) Relocating teams. Abandoning your fan base SUCKS. Teams like the Colts and Rams and Ravens deserve a decade or two of losing seasons for moving.
I'm not the only one getting tired of the nonsense. Back when I was still interested, my uncle and I used to trade jabs all the time because he's a Packers fan and I was a Bucs fan while I still watched games. Now it's like going through the motions at best, and we usually end up talking about the bad side of it.. and how he'll probably cancel Sunday Ticket (I did like 2-3 years ago) and cut way down on following football once Favre retires. As the antics continue, and the media blabbering gets more annoying, I wouldn't be too surprised if more people start turning their backs on the whole thing.
ditto....but colts beatin the panthers
i'm thinkin the seahawks are gonna make somethin happen
College Football > NFL
I hardly watch the NFL anymore.
, now I remember why I didnt post much here, you guys are no fun. I ask playoff predictions, and I get: one team is racist due to their name, rambling on about NFL players in general, and that college balls is better than NFL. I think some read too deep into the topic, you see all I wanted to know was F'ing playoff predictions, I dont give a rat's behind whether or not you like the NFL or its players. So lets keep this on topic.

Don't take offense man...there's always going to be
one whiner in every crowd. ;)
Would like to see Pittsburgh go, but the Colts probably have their number this week. A Seattle win in the Super Bowl would be pretty cool.
Yeah, if no longer supporting a watered-down sport filled with self-absorbed assholes and littered with idiot fans makes me a whiner, then I'll wear the label with pride. Kinda like when you called me a "L*O*S*E*R".
BTW, you may say you don't give a about opinions of players and what not, but you support their antics by spending money on their shiznit and on the league that keeps these guys in multi-million-dollar paychecks for being useless pen 15s. If you and people like you weren't out there buying jerseys and hats and Sunday Ticket and going to games and what not, people like T.O. and Randy Moss and Michael "Wife-Beater" Pittman would be flipping burgers.. if they could even manage to hang onto those jobs for long. Sorry if that little tidbit of personal responsibility is too much for you to stomach.. I know it was for me. Enjoy your playoffs.
So far we are, thanks, sunshine! ;)
You would. I think shiznitsburgh deserves a player like T.O.. hope they get right on signing him, and soon. It'll give Cowher something else to whine about.
Speaking of your whining...
Sorry Chrome302jr, you can see that no matter how civilized some are trying to be in this thread, there's always going to be one person trying to spoil the party. No point in continuing. Best of luck to everyone's favorite NFL teams!
well Since I still can, I'm gonna get the last word in:
Gooooo (a certain sports team for this particular sport) go!
