Title: engine woes

well I tore into the explorer block ,and she's toast...bearings are baAAAAd, and the other engine...well it'd cost about the same...so I'm looking for a short block...wish me luck guys

I had a race engine builder look @ the engine...says it looks worse than it is,no ridge on the cyl walls. Gonna put ARP bolts in her, decent rings, GT40P heads *ported*, GOING with a Carb. More flexible, and cheaper...SO MY GT40/Explorer Intake IS FOR SALE.It'll come with gaskets.

$800 for rebuild

whats the advantage of running the explorer/gt40 intake?

bigger intake runners for one...more air, flows better than 5.0 SO or HO
