3640 lbs w/o driver and 1/4 tank of gas.
I haven't made any attempts to lighten the car and it doesn't have any extra weight in it either (like a spkr box)

My '83 was 3250# w/o driver (and about 1/4 tank of gas) last year before I got into it for paint.

At the time it was as such:
-2.3T/T5
-cage
-2 power front seats
-full interior
-SFC's and STB

It should probably still be about the same with the following changes:
- additional cage bars
- removed rear seat
- remove power front seat tracks.

Weighed mine on a truck scale once. With a trunk full of , 1/2 tank of gas and me @ 280 lbs mine came in at 3800 lbs. So it's probably between 3400 and 3500 empty.

WOW!! You guys have some pretty light cars there, according to my door sticker, mine weighs in at 4,132 #s, so I'm assuming that means no gas or driver.  Why is it that mine weighs that much, or is it an error on the sticker?

Your car probably isn't any heavier than mine....The 83-86's were lighter than the 87-88's

That isn the Gross Vehicle weight...as in the MAX the car should weigh fully loaded.  That is not the curb weight of the car.

take the total GVWR of your car and subtract 900 lbs (thats 180 lbs for each 5 seat belt/passenger and driver). subtract 8 lbs for each gallon of gas that you estimate is missing from the tank. also subtract any weight you may have removed.

add back in your weight and any weight you added too the car like a system/subs v8 conversion....etc

you should be close enough too estimate the weight of your car. for some reason though alot of them come out of the factory with different gvwr stamps. mine says 4420 i think.

'83 Heritage, with V6.  3045# empty, 3225# with a driver.  This is starting line weight, no a/c, p/s, fan shroud, ect., but with a full leather interior, including p/seats and windows, AOD trans, no spare tire.  Add 125# for a SBF V8.  Fred
