on my 88, im building an 8.8" rear w/ 31 spline trac-lok, strange axles (94-98 mustang), 3.55 gears, and re-drilling my drums.
i was thinking about getting anthracite 18x10" deep dish fr500s (http://www.mustangtuning.com/fr500wheels1.html), but not sure if they are gonna come out to the lips of the quarter panels.
also, what size tire would look good on a 10" rim? does nitto make a drag radial in that size?
post pics of your wheel combos!
the 10's will fit fine. if you have quad shocks they will have to go.
I ran spoogeho 710 auto x slicks on mine in the 315/35/17 size. There was a big dispute on weather they were the same size as a normal radial.
all this is assuming stock ride height.
18x9 "non" deep dish, so deep dish might push the wheel past the fender lip.:dunno:
say herb, what rear axles were those again? i forgets. thanks.
On the Tbird, or the Cougar? I beleive they are '99 Cobra axles on the Tbird, and they are '84 Continental axles on the Cougar.:D
Mine are 17x9's, they are RIGHT at the fenders. I had to roll them. But the rear end I used was one out of a Mark 7.
I would have to say 98, 99 are to lomg.
Thanks,
Chris
Has to be pre-98, 99-up had IRS. Thinking about doing the Mark7 aproach with tri-bars.
 lol, well I guess the mind is the first thing to go, it;s '95 mustng shafts, with cobra brakes all around, duh.:bricks1:
