Title: 3.8 V-6 W/ 5spd man
Post by: MFrank on December 10, 2005, 01:50:46 AM
Just wondering if anyone has done a 3.8 and changed the AOD to a 5 speed manual. I know many have done the 5.0 and TC conversion to stick using T-Bird, Mustang or even the lowly Fairmont parts. A 3.8 stick could make the most out of the little HP it has. Something I've been thinking about since the AOD on my 87 3.8 T-Bird with 179,000 miles slips occasionally at start up when it is winter. Otherwise it runs fine. Once a year I add the Lucas Transmission treatment and it runs fine from start up.
