That tire is way too wide for that wheel. A 275 will just fit on that width wheel but I'm pretty sure there could be clearance issues with the inner fender. Best thing to do to verify it for yourself is to measure the distance between the inner wheel lip and inner fender and subtract 1" from that ( that's the amount a 275 will bulge on that wheel)

   :raspberry  :raspberry

all though the Hawk is right;) with a stock Cougar or T/Bird rear you will only be able fit 275/50/15's.. how i managed to fit 295's was because i have a mustang rear which is 3/4" shorter on each side..

I'm taking it that is a straight-line car....I would think the ass end  would squirm all over the place with the oversized tires (H-rated maybe?).  I know I can tell the difference even with properly-sized tires....

I have the M/T ET Street 275/60/15 drag radials mounted on a stock 7" rim. Great for track use and it JUST clears the fender lip. Kinda sloppy on corners though. Funny how M/T (and others) say that a 7" rim is too narrow for these tires, but the relaxed width across beads before mounting is 7" so it fits on the rim rather easily (unlike what so many said here on the "internet"!)
