Will a full digital panel (1986) off a v6 work on a v8?
the tach will not work correctly, hell i didn't know you could get a full digital dash with a v6
HUmmmmmm the guy said that is was from a V6 car.
I seem to remember that you can modify the digital tach to work with a 4, 6 or 8 cylinder. Something to do with the "tach strap" terminals in the cluster connector. I seem to remember that if you ground one you get one engine, ground both you get another, or ground none and get yet another, or something like that...
I found out that the panel is a partical digital, but off a V6. Will it sitll (except the tac) work?
If it's partial digital, it probably doesn't have a tach.
it wont have a tach if it is the base. see?

If its digital, I think it will have to be recalibrated.
I think that if you ordered the light group or something like that in the LX you got the full digital dash reguardless of engine. I know that I saw an 88 LX V6 in the yard with a full digital dash once. never though to pull it to see if the tach hook up was diferent than the one on my car (5.0).
