looks pretty good, very clean. Paint the tc hood!
It does look good. Is that the original paint?
And as Haystack said, paint the hood!
Looks similar to what my red bird used to look like before i painted the molding and put a TC header panel on it.
For $300 that's a hell of a car man....leave the hood flat black...nice throw back to the muscle car days. Just make sure you seal it...my black primer is oxidized as hell now...even after countless hours of wet-sanding with 2000 grit sandpaper and rubbing/polishing compound.
those wheels are beautimous! :grinno: uhm... i'm assuming it didn't look like that for $300. O_o?
Its kinda crazy, i dug up some pics of mine when it looked just like that, just had more chrome and less shine on the paint...and the black wasnt as black

im glad too see there are more guys out there that care about the fox tbird/cougar breed enough to take good care of one!
A+
Always did like that shade of red. Very sharp.;)
Clean machine.
Thanks guys for the comments, when i got the car it was NASTY!!, needed alot of cleaning, the wheels were black, the paint(original) looked pink, interior was filthy but in great shape, little green carpet cleaner took care of that.Everything works except the cruise. I have since then tore the engine down, needed new bearings and oil pump, k&n, removed silencer, true duels, no cats with 3 chamber flows, crossover, wires, plugs, injectors, bumped the timing, new tires, shift kit, jammin stereo with 750 watts of power (not a whole lot), 176,000 and still runnin strong(knock on wood), thanks haystack for postin pics !! I don't know why I can't get pics up??
It can be a pain, just get a photo bucket and upload them there then use the html thingy and paste it in your reply. I gotta give you props though. Very nice looking. v-6,v-8? wait sports are v-8's sorry. Any thinking twoards the H.O. conversion?
thinking about the HO and a t-5?? my brother-in law has a 86 HO cam, might just throw that in for now if i can find a 58mm throttle body. this is my daily driver(19mpg) and i'm not really looking for a hot rod, but i would like just a little more uumph!! My hot rod is in my garage 1967 f-100, 472(60 over) BB,trw forged pistons,68 429 ported heads, 580 lift cam,244 dur. @.50,performer rpm, demon 825, msd dist. 6al, 1.8 roller rockers, gear drive, headers, 3" exhaust with crossover, 2 chamber flows, tci race trans, 3000 stahl, shift kit, lowered 4" in front,6 " in back, 4-link with coil overs, 9" with 3.89 gears with locker unit, 30x16.5 hoosier quick times, alum fuel cell in bed, duel batt. in bed, high torque starter, 38 deg total advance,115 octane race fuel and she will run like a scolded dog with hemroids!!! (5mpg) now that is my play toy.
