Has anybody tried this stuff on their headlights?

If it works I am buying this.

Hrmmm I'm just doing in this in my room right now with 1000 grit wet sand paper and some metal polish.  Works great for being free and about 15-20 min a lense.

And unless you stole the sandpaper and polish, it's not exactly free, either!  :p

Woah! When did you have to start paying for this stuff? Maybe that is why I got tackled at the walmart.

I tried something exactly like that, it may be the same stuff though (not sure without a picture showing the packaging).

Anyway, the first few steps helped get the oxidation and yellowing off, just don't apply that sealer in the last step.  I didn't see much improvement over what wet sanding and rubbing compound can do.

I was hoping someone would have some comments on this product.
Did it work or is there something better for cleaning yellowed and fogged headlights.

Thanks.

It's hard to get comments on stuff like this, because a lot of us just try our own methods. (like the sandpaper + polishing compound thing)

Sometimes I think about buying stuff like that just to try it and give it an informal review.. but I have a hard time justifying all extra purchases right now when I still need work clothes and new brakes and stuff like that.

speaking of headlights, I was surprised that THIS AUCTION (http://"http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-1988-Ford-Thunderbird-NOS-headlights-New_W0QQitemZ8008601756QQcategoryZ33710QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem") went for so much as it did considering new headlights have been going for 110-125 buy it now for the last couple years. Looking at the numbers listed on the other auctions, HL1077L/HL1077R, they don't appear to be NOS but reproductions. Anyone know? Also, anyone have experience with these ones?

okay, they are indeed Ford nos. Now to compare them side by side with my clear lens/polished aluminum tape ones and see how well the tape reflector actually works compared to the stock offering. If there's little difference, I can just unload the lenses for the price I got them for ;)

I can add that Meguiars Plastx does indeed work on finish polishing, but does nothing for cutting out damaged plastic. Different product, but it makes the same claims
