I just realized that my T-bird has been sitting for just about a year, now because of the broken rear diff. I have the following new parts for it:
- 8.8 3.73 Rear End
- E7 Heads
- 11" Brakes
- HO-style Cam
- New Carb & Intake
- TC Front Bumper
- TC Seats
- 16" TC wheels
There's probably a few other things I have that aren't listed, but sheesus, it's ridiculous to have this many parts and have the car sitting parked. Basically all I need is someone with a 4WD truck to pull the car around back to the garage so I can get it up in the air and get the rear end put into it. Also need someone to freshen up the rear axle, but I already have the guy, just need to get the money to him and get the axle there.
Someone give me a kick in the ass please? I'd love to be able to drive my T-bird again this coming Spring and Summer before it costs me $250 to fill the tank when gas finally goes up and stays up. When I parked the car there was only a minimal amount of rust on it, but I've come to terms to the fact that eventually, living in Ohio, rust will consume it. But I'd like to get a few good years out of it before I have to get a new car to start on. I used to be able to at least go out and start the car and hear it run, but now the ign switch is so worn out (don't worry, batt is disconnected) and the battery is so low it won't even crank. I need some inspiration and some drive to get this thing back on the road. It's gotten so bad that lately I've considered selling the car along with all the parts and calling it quits.
Here's a pic of the car in it's former glory just about 3 years ago when I first bought it:

Get Moving!!
Well since you arent ever going to use them, just ship them to me, Here is my e-mail send me a message and ill send you s hipping address reugoff@gmail.com
If you don't
know how to fix it maybe you should sell it or take it to the dealer to get it fixed !!! HAHAHAHAHAHa
Do it man! You only live once.. If you were to die next fall then what? You can either hang your ghostly head in shame in the loser group with ghosts who died and haven't accomplished anything in life... or hang with the cool ghosts like Casper, and Patrick Swayze because you accomplished your goal!
So.. you can doooo eeeet!
hell just let it sit,
It sat for this long so another year or 2 will not kill it go buy a honda there mad fast and part the t bird on here to us.
Your not even a ford guy so just give the car to us we will take care of it then go join somewere else and ponder you life.
Or just push the car around back and get to it and prove me wrong.
LOL
just kiding there buddy just get a tow rope pull the car with anything and start at it.
fix it lazy ass.
Did Brian mention he's about 25 miles from me?
, I said motivate me, not belittle me, mean ****ers! Hah, just kidding. When I first read through it, the negative comments actually worked. I've got a few people with trucks that I can call regarding getting the car moved.
Oh, and Eric, you know, it's 25 miles BOTH ways. Just seems as if I'm always driving to your house. If you get the other vehicle you were talking about, you can help me move the car and deliver the rear end.
Well, that's the plan Brain, no problem. I was just out your way a few weeks ago looking at an other vehicle. Shouldn't be too hard to find your crib. Will let you know when the purchase is made.
some of us don't even HAVE a car (i have a cobalt, but come on, is that REALLY a car), so get to it or i might come take it!
Come on Brian. Your Tbird is in a lot better shape than a lot of other ones I've seen. So quit being lazy. Once you get out there and start working on it then you won't want to stop until it's done.
And i'm sure he's just a little bit further than that from me. Maybe Eric and I can meet up head over to your place and give ya a swift kick in the johnson..... or help which ever would be more fun at the time ;) :D !!!!
How about you give me your neon in two weeks? That way, if you want to get anywhere, you'll have to fix up that car.
Plus, whose car are you gonna sport around at the next CJ? :D
I've got a size 13 boot here that says you're going to get working on that car. *cracks knuckles*
Just mail the boot back when you pull it out of your arse, ok?
On second thought............ burn the boot.:yuck:
GET YOUR ASS MOVING!! do you really whanna be on the cold ground in the middle of winter do ya?? NOW GET MOVING BEFORE IT SNOWS!!!
oh noes!!!! not the S word! :yuck: that would motivated me to fix my brakes last weekend when it was nice and warm! >.<**
Geez man, it was
your spouting off in this thread:
http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=2750&page=2 (http://"http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=2750&page=2")
that helped rid my mental blocks to pull the 7.5" rear out and haul the used 8.8 I bought to a shop for a check-out, haul it back, paint it, and install it.
Maybe you were talking out your ass about the teeth and bungy cords in that thread, but you weren't far off,as I did it all by myself with a $30 hand truck and some tie down straps.
The hard part for me is just to get my butt out of the house and just start doing things. Nothing happened in a day, but just forcing myself out to the driveway to just do SOMETHING each day, and before you know it all the major hurdles get done. Once your doing it, its a lot easier to get things done compared to just sitting around thinking about how hard it may be.
You got the 8.8 beast to your house, now just finish the job.
well then you don't whanna look out my window right now there is snow everywhere for the past 2 days now:flame:
It would be easier to sell it with all the parts for next to nothing but i don't think you would be happy about that latter on. I agree with bondocougar, just start doing something and next thing you know you have a lot accomplished.
yeah what the heck get to work slacker
Or we'll sic I.G.A.H. on you!
i dunno, i heard he gives a mean reach around.
I could ask my friend that works out at the prison if he could arrange a loan of a work detail of HIV-infected inmates to go up there and sodomize you repeatedly if you don't get to work on it soon..
If that plus the IGAH stuff doesn't get you moving, then I would seriously have to wonder about you. :p
