Well guys,it's been a hell of a week down here. It's in the 30's right now .although that doesn't seem out of the ordinary for some of you,it was in the 70's yesterday. Now you can see what i mean.
Monday night we got 10 inches of rain overnight.A lot of flooding and damage to homes and businesses.
Yesterday evening as the could front came into our area ,their was numerous tornadoes and lightning.Luckily no tornadoes in Henderson.Last sunday night,we had a tornado in the county that skirted my town, crossed the river.Wiped out our local horse racing track, killed 19 people(so far) in a trailer park in southern Indiana, and moved into the town of Newburgh,Ind destroying hundreds of homes and businesses.
What the hell's going on?What's next?
In the 70s at the moment but what you have is commin' our way, will be here tonight...
It's like this.. a nice change from hurricanes:
It was 75 on Saturday and by Tuesday we got our first snowfall of the year. I didn't have to go off campus, so the Cougar stayed cozy in the parking garage.
Uh, it's cold and doing that thing where white stuff falls from the sky... I QUIT!
On the plus side, it's a few tiny flakes randomly and not sticking, so I'm not totally screwed that I didn't switch my wheels yet.
It's 3:51 P.M. where I am. It's a little windy but, a nice 67*F.
Rain and 50 right now, supposed to go up to low 60's overnight, then tank down to mid 30's tomorrow afternoon and stay there until, oh, say, March...
first snow fall right now:(
I see you've stopped trying to teach these Yanks Celcius altogether, Carmen. :giggle:
Right now, it's sunny and melting! :headbang:
There was only about a centimeter (a third of an inch :hick: ) of snow to start with, so todays 4* (40*) melted that pretty quick. This year is completely wacked. There should be at least a foot of snow everywhere by now. It's november in Edmonton for cripes sake.
To put this in perspective, Winterpeg (which is a good five hours south of Edmonton but right smack dab in the middle of Canada) got 30cm of snow yesterday.
In a word....shiznitTY! Temps dropped like a rock since the weekend, lots of rain and very windy.....should be gettin' the white stuff very soon.
Went for my official last drive of '05 this past Sunday and the car has been put away for it's winter nap.
lets see right now 39 degrees out rain turning into lake effect snow by tomorrow and a possibility of 3 inches of accumulation:flame:
Well today we've got 40mph winds, 30* temps, and snow showers in Chicago. They don't call us the windy city for nothing;) . It was 55* and sunnyish Sunday. It finally got cold. I put my Tbird away on Halloween weekend and it was 60* and sunny. It has been nice the last 2 weekends and I felt stupid for putting the Bird away. Now I don't :D . Like every year I'll have to wait till April 1st to drive it again. Then I won't have to worry about snow.
Well right now it is a cool 35*F SUCK!!! Of corse where I live you never know what its gonna do.
If it were 35 degrees here, I'd go out for a drive.
Between monday and tuesday it snowed 26". Tonight the low is -25*, and its suppost to stay there, till oh say....march :)
So, all and all, i'm very happy. This weekend I'll tune up the snowmobiles and hit the trails. Right after I winterize my cars.
One stupid thing is, the province contracted out all their plows to construction companies for the summer. Somehow, they didn;t get them back in time for the snow. But you know how governemnts are.
right now, at 9:25 pm, it's about 26 degrees, and still, no wind.
just 2 or 3 days ago, we had almost 60 degrees.
Bird351, your avatar is cool... RIP Eddie
well its snowing here right now:flame:
Yeah, well, RIP my grandfather in the next couple days, too.. probably.. (he just got moved to hospice yesterday) and like with my father's funeral, the weather will probably be picture-perfect. Hell, this is even the same week. (my father died on the 20th, 9 years ago) I'll go through another couple years of disliking days with perfect weather.
But yeah.. the Eddie thing bothers me, too. He was only four years older than me.. died in a similar way to my father.. and it's such a shame that he died after cleaning his life up and reaching the top.
Between all that and getting fired over health problems last week, I'm just a bundle of freakin' joy here.
"..and then one day you find, ten years have got behind you.. no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.."
WTH happened? it was beatiful today hear, 70+ and all the sudden around 5:30 it started rainning and dropped 20+* lol. now i think its gonna be py the rest of the season... and i gotta do car stuff outside :(
14 and 10-15mph wind. Sucks. Was 60+ last week, had a tornado last Saturday, snowed Tuesday and I and think it got down to 8 yesturday.
Nick
It sucks... i miss the south. :(
Its just tacular out there. Windy as hell colder than I like. And I only know one person with a heated garage. It was like 37* yesterday.
15* right now with a windchill of 5*. its nice to live in the midwest:shoothead .
Fantastic every day.....29 C....

making ice and that makes me happy
and bird 351 i was at the wrestling show that night it was very sad like a wake with body slams
31* F right now..... Supposed to go back to 65 by Monday (Yeah, right)
SNOW, been snowing here on/off for the last couple of days.
There claiming this will stop Monday and get back to mid teens by
Thursday.
too cold!
70 degress right now. 83 tomorrow!:D
it's 20 out and snowing again, we are up to 8" so far and gaining.i miss my XR-7 and my 2 SC's all ready but they are nicely tucked away for the winter.
NO snow here yet, but we had a helluva rainy and windy week. We received about 10" of rain since Monday, and on Wednesday/Thursday we had hurricane force winds. We lost a bunch more trees at the cottage (including one that landed in the wires and caught fire - the guy that lives across the road saw the fire and called 911). I went into my hunting blind yesterday and had to climb a maple to retrieve my lawn chair - it was about 300 yards away from the blind, and a good ortion of the blind blew away as well. Had the leaves still been in the trees the damage would have been far worse.
Yeah got our first snow fall yesterday, about 2 inches early morning that melted away, then about 6 inches late that night. Seems to be round 6-8 inches on the ground right now, and it looks like this stuff will stick around for a while.
Over cast all day today with off an on rain.Temp.was around 47.I did get to put the hood on my Bird in between rain drops.Suppose to be 60 Monday with more rain. But thats Michigan weather.
Later.
Me ben and nick are kicking back with high 70's!
68* @ 9:09 AM... gonna be 75* they say...
