...you had put all the money you've spent on your thundercat away?
This is an offshoot of the other thread, if you didn't guess that already.

I need some lovin in a big way.
Disgusting isn't it?
Think about the good side... You buy that car, drive it and wind up putting the same amount into it to maintain.
We got a good start. Our cars cost little to begin with so if we put 10,000 into them over a few years, it still isn't that much. But say you buy that bird for 7,000 and have to put 10,000 into it. That's 17,000 and more than what the total would be for your bird. :)
But in all seriousness, I probably would have fixed up the camaro I have rotting in my driveway. It was all I wanted when I was 15 but I had a choice to buy something or ride the bus and fix up the camaro. Guess what I chose
\/
Id probably have a turbo dodge. most likely a k-car, 4 door k-car with a 5-speed
You're right. I know. I just had no idea it had gotten to that point. It comes as quite a shock to know
that is a $10G car.
Who can afford to build a car when they have to drive it? (What's even worse is I haven't even done that in over a year)
even if i had the money that i have in my cat id stiil be driveing a cougar maybie a 69 eliminator
I could have had a new Corvette...
Well, considering that I have about $3500 in my car...my options for what I could have are kinda limited.
I had originally wanted a 5.0 Mustang, but could not find one of them for under $4000. I saw an ad for this thunderbird in the paper for $1500, went and looked at it and the guy said he'd take $1250. Just so happened that I had $1250 in the bank :)
92 tempo gls 5 speed 2door 3.0 V6...then id turbo it it....
otherwise, if i had no project car to keep me happy tinkering with, id probably would have pulled the trigger and put a down payment on an 03 cobra.
Another Fox Cougar, 83-88...
Or an MN-12 supercharged XR-7 or a SuperCoupe....These are pretty cheap at the border....
I could have a pair of 2005 Mustang Convertables in the driveway.
:yuck: o yea Eric i could see it now http://www.coolvets.net:D
HAHA THAT CAME UP AS A LINK BUT IT DOSENT EXSIST
If I had the money I spent on all my parts cars and various other thing. I would have gone almost the same route as Tbird232ci but not as nice. I would have done the RWD conversion on my 89 LeBaron and dropped the 360 commando, from yet another car we had sitting at my parents, down in it.
God the fun I would have had with that. Makes me want to :barf:.
Well, I have another car already that I really like....Maybe a hopped up waverunner or something like that.....
i could have a nice steak dinner at the outback steak house
I could have a 1988 Thunderbird in very good condition with low mileage. Or about any other used car in the $4k-5k (Canadian) range. Seriously, I have not really spent much on this car at all. I paid $3500 CDN for it, and made a few repairs over the past 30 months (A/C condenser & lines, rad, alternator, tires, gas tank, custom true duals). The stereo stuff all came out of previous cars, and all of my upgrades were cheap & simple (TC cluster, 10-holes, remote start/keyless, console, tripminder, overhead console, fog lights, steering wheel).
Now, if you ask me what I could buy with the money I've yet to spend (paint job, suspension upgrades, HO/T5 swap, etc) I could probably buy a new... I dunno... Honda Civic or something...
How about the .com version?
http://coolvettes.com/
Sure Carmen. Remind me of stereo stuff. :slap:
Add another $450 to that list.
$450 wow you got off on the inexspensive side.
300 watt amp $400
500 watt amp $500
Head unit $900 (3 years old now)
subs and box $200 (used)
infinity 6x9 $200
polk 6.5 $100
Rockford 3.5 $100
---------------------
total :shoothead
shiznit I could have had another car. :disappoin Why can't I just hold onto my money.
In just the 1 car, or all 5 that I've had?
Honestly, I'd probably just have some other project car, so does it really matter?
Now had I stayed in Boston, I'd have an 05 mustang GT and no motorcycle. I suck at saving money...
I dunno, depending on which car we are talking about, I would prolly buy cheap car, like a cougar/tbird, then fix it up in the same way.
