Title: Making trim lackluster ?

Can the chrome trim be stripped of it's chrome ?

Will be going for Ala XR7 Look

on the window trim, sand it down untill theres no real shine left, clean it with some alcohol of acetone, then spray paint it, for the window trim, i prefer Duplicolors Low Gloss Black engine enamel, its a satin black that matches the factory almost perfectly, and is durable, it wont sun fade because its made for high heat
