Tha looks SWEET!

How much did you cut out off the springs and hows the ride?

I have an '88 5.0L bird that I just did the T5 swap and duals and now I want it lowered.  Was it worth it besides the looks factor?

1.5 coils off the front 1 from the rear

rides close to that of a stock 5L stang . Car doesnt have the weeble feeling on the freeeway anymore. handles a hair better.

I am happy with it :D

So what did you do on the upper portion of the rear??? The coil tapers down to a flat surface for even mounting...

I wanna change the suspension on my 86. Would the sway bars make the biggest difference other than tires? Does it ride rough after you cut the springs?

Not tryin to hi-jack here, but, I read your initial post on this thread and on a whim today I stopped at the local bone yard and yanked a T/C rear sway bar(wanted to get it before she goes to the crusher) and you're absolutely right, big difference.

Hey Chuck, if you're reading this...you could probably make some loot by fabbing up some trick new quick disconnect links for the front sway bars(for drag use of course).

It rides about like a stock 5.0 mustang stiff yet not real harsh.

sway bars and tires will make a big differance.

On my 84 bushings are all shot, I know that will help alot. What brand or kind of shocks/struts do you guys most recommend. I have some but they arent great. After 14 years of sitting covered in a garage, this car needs some major tlc and revamping.
