Armyguy298,
I've seen in your sig several times about your '71 Skylark. A good friend I grew up with actually ended up with a '71 Skylark that had been my uncle's, and it had an original Buick 350 4bbl in it. That motor itself would do nothing but RUN, but of course when my buddy bought it he had to go with something bigger. He also put in an older model 430 out of a Wildcat, I think, and Holy Cow! That car was just plain scary-fast! I think he even welded up the rear end, and I remember watching him peel both tires off the rear wheels, just like you'd take off your socks. It was nearly carrying the front end, and this car was basically stock. I just thought I'd relay some old memories of a car like what you describe in your sig.
Hey, where is Montgomery, IL? I live in Marshall, IL. We may not be all that far apart. As of yet I've not actually met anyone from this board in person. I think that would be cool someday. Good luck with your cars, and I'd love to see your 430 Skylark someday.
