Title: Aod Oil Line Fittings
Post by: andrew beedle on November 09, 2005, 12:20:11 PM
Can anyone tell me what fittings will work in the oil cooler ports on a AOD transmission. I can find it anywhere. I have been told that its 1/4 npt thread but that is not correct. The fitting that came out of it is a straight thread of some sorts. I dont understang why I can't find any information on this. Not like this is an uncommon transmission. Orignal fitting design is a bad design in my opinion and always leaks at the orings where the hard lines go in. I want to replace it with rubber or stainless lines. I am sure someone knows what the right fitting is.

Thanks for your help

Put them together, and hit Google with "straight pipe threads".  :D

In 2004 I put some fittings on my AOD to connect it to some -6AN lines for my tranny cooler. I called TCI and they knew the fitting type and I ordered them from Summit Racing.
