I know there has to be an easy way to make the frount fox t-bird 5lug without having to change the spindle and everything or is it just the hard and long way to do it lol
You are correct. http://www.coolcats.net/tech/advanced/4to5lug.html (http://"http://www.coolcats.net/tech/advanced/4to5lug.html")
87?-93 aerostar front rotors work on the 10" brakes the outside diameter needs to be cut down about .150 thou and use the aerostar dustcaps.
someone sells direct replacement 10 inch 5-lug rotors. eric knows. i keep forgetting.
if you have an 83-85 1/2 then get the FRPP 5-Lug axle/drum kit(or the ranger/aerostar axles/drums). as long as you don't mind your wheels sitting in about an inch. check out my Darkthunder cardomain page. i used that kit. :)
Bolt-in conversion rotors (per coolcats) is http://www.completebrakeservice.com/
Good luck. I've been waiting for an answer for two weeks.
I just spent some time measuring rotors at AutoZone and space in my caliper. It APPEARS the Ranger rotors will fit without being trimmed, but I won't know for sure until it's all apart.
ranger will not fit .. the hat it too tall and you cant get the nut on it. been there done that .
the aerostar as i stated above uses the same bearings as the t-bird/mustang 10" rotors only the dust cap is differant.
the diameter is just a hair larger but on sevral i done i just clearanced the calipers a hair. or you could turn the diameter down as i stated.
hope that helps some.......
