While pulling the rods from the 429/460 yesterday,I noticed an add on counter weight on the crank snout.I can't remember if it was outside of the timing cover or behind it.I have never noticed this on other 429/460's.Can anyone elaborate on this furhter. The engine had been rebuilt at least once. The pistons had a D3 casting date and the rods had a D6 casting date.Didn't look at the block casting numbers. No,it wasn't a 4 bolt block. It did have the square holley intake though.
it goes behind the balancer like a spacer outside the cover
429"s do not have a weight just a blank spacer:D
