I'm gonna buy a '92 F150 Lapis Poly blue...same color as the T-bird will be painted...they want 2500 for the truck 2wd, 300 I6...used to be green. Here's the color on a F150 I found on google

Check and be sure its a decent paint job, if it wasnt prepped properly it will flake off in time which looks horrible wih a colour change. Those 300's arent the easiest on gas either, but you can pull a house with one. If its a 4X4 check the front end for wear, its a common and expensive problem but overall theyre tough trucks and will rarely let you down, good luck
I need to find a truck like that.. strip the 300 out of it for the car project, and put my 351W into it. Unfortunately, I can't manage something as decent as that truck, right now. If I got anything, it would have to have a 300 almost on its last legs (but rebuildable) and the body and paint and what not would be in far worse condition.
I dunno what the truck market is like in Maine, but $2500 for a '92 2WD six cylinder F150 strikes me as a bit high. Unless the truck is absolutely mint I wouldn't pay that much for it...
The last time I was in Maine trucks were about the only thing on the road (a foot of snow had just fell and the Air Force sent me there to fix a jet). In good condition with fairly low mileage I would assume that's not a half bad deal. Where I live they're goin for about that.
I paid twice that for my '93, but then it's a Lightning...
I would shop around a little bit for a truck that has not been repainted. Ask yourself (and the seller) why it has been repainted. Also I wouldn't buy another regular cab pickup even if it was made of gold! A good looking extended cab should be had for not much more.
he's fixed a few dents...I asked if he'd paint it that color...thus why the price is a lil higher
