It will fit. Sometimes there are clearance issues with the scoops, as they can get close to bracketry on the motor, depending upon the engine. Also, the 1983 hood hinges seem to be unique, meaning you may have to elongate the mounting holes or drill new ones. Or use 1984-88 hinges, whichever. But as far as the hood fitting, lining up, and generally working, go for it. Just make sure the distibutor has a cover of some sort if you're keeping the scoops open. ;)
