Title: Bought a TC
Post by: Tbird232ci on November 18, 2004, 08:57:35 PM
well, i just brought the car home, no power steering made it interesting

i did encounter a typical TC problem, i was driving, then it started running like ass, bucking, jumping, shaking, going nuts, then it just cleared up and ran fine

the car is in need of a tune up, tires, exhaust bangs around a little, it hesitates a bit, power steering needs fixing and some good ole Tbird232ci type lovin

pics will be up this weekend

"good ole Tbird232ci type lovin"? Windows down in a rainstorm again? :p

Just kidding. Enjoy your Bird. At least you can drive your second Bird right now. Mine's going to be sitting for quite some time. (no money to get a new tag, which is something like $180 down here)

Is that the dark blue (like my '88) or black? My guess is the blue.

I'm a little whacked on paint fumes and Fridays' drinks right now.. lol. Whatever your response, it may end up looking like "electric donkey bumpers" to me.

Wow, I guess I'm a little more fried from the paint fumes than I thought. :p

Yeah, I suppose I can see it as gray, but it looks like there's a blue tint to the picture. I'll wait to see the daylight pics.. heh.

You should have bought mine, the P/S works just fine, and it doesn't buck... Plus it doesn't have a clear coat problem...

two words...heater core :p

i would have loved to have bought yours, but this is a bit more convienent for me, plus the guy gave me a spare turbo, exhaust manifold, intake manifolds, fuel rail assembly, distributor and a bunch of other odds and ends

Man I want a 5-speed :)
However I regret the next car I get won't be fox body.
Anyway I'm glad I don't have the ugly red interior in my Cat anymore ;)

That interior looks to be in pretty good shape.

I'd keep it red just for the difference.....

You just don't see many colors other than tan, grey or black in most newer cars....*yawn*

Sounds like you got a good deal.....

the interior is staying red, its too much work converting, if it were trashed, it would become a raven interior, but other than one tear, the worn out shifter  and the flaked paint on the seat switch panel, its nearly perfect

im doing a junkyard run with a friend, after that im going to get some tune up items for the TC, clean it up and take some more pics

well Tom, by throwing the heater core issue with the TC you have around, i caused some bad kharma, i was changing the plugs, i look up, see two little tubes sticking out of the firewall, then i see a hose looping the two coolant pipes together...

nice looking car. Then power steering in my car is out as well. Minus driving with food, you almost dont notice. And that is with the 5.0
