My father has that 81 firebird, and somehow, its his pride and joy
Well, recently, he ordered a two style radio for it, and when he got it, he didnt get the face plate for it. He calls up the next day demanding a new face plate, acting like he's some hot shot because he got them to send him a face plate free of charge, with him thinking that its because he spent a large amount of money so far (about 600 bucks so far)
So he's on his ego trip, thinking he has some sort of priority on the "firebird builders" list, and he's expecting this faceplate to come in. Well after he hit my car, the faceplate comes in, and i intercepted it, just to inconvienence him a little bit.
For the past two days, he's been whining, saying how he's gonna call up and say this, and do that, and get someone fired, and going off on his ego trip. He calls NPD up, and the's running his mouth, thinking he is all cunning, and the guy basically says "we already sent you a replacement, its out of our hands now, call the manufacturer" and gives him a number. He calls the manufacturer, and he tells my dad basically "i dont have any replacement faceplates for those, other than blank ones", and my dad was expecting him to open up a brand new unit, and send him just the face plate. The guys says he'll send him a blank one.
So my dad gets off the phone, comes in here, telling me how he said this and that, and outsmartted the guy, and bragging and thinking he's hot shiznit...when i heard the entire conversation, and it sounded like they did whatever they could to get him off the phone because he was wasting their time.
All this over a faceplate for a car that is no where near driveable.

Before he gets the thing in, you should cut the power cord leading to the stereo. That way when he hooks it all up, he'll think they sent him one that doesn't work.
Unless its already hooked up...:dunno:
all the wiring is there and working, and he knows that
im going to do a few little things like that, make some bolts dissapear, and stuff like that, just to irritate him a bit

you have no idea the ive put up with from him...him running into my car isnt the first time he's screwed me over, i could go back into how he was treating me like as far back as i can remember
i talked to my mom about it, and she was amazed that i knew what was going on back then, and that i even remembered it, stuff when i was 4-5 years old
Yeah I've put up with some shiznit with my dad too. I even refused to loan him my new car remembering how he never let me barrow his. I really sucks to have a py dad sometimes. I guess what I'm getting at is all the shiznit you do to him might just come back to haunt you when you have kids someday. I never thought about that until I got kids of my own. My dad has screwwed me over many many times and I wouldn't do things like that to him just so I wouldn't have to hear him bitch about it. It's really kind of lame.
It is lame, but its even more lame that he never took care of his responsibilities, or think about anyone else but himself.
I could go on for hours about what he's done to me and my family, but i dont feel like wasting the time and the bandwidth.
Although it may be fun to torture him in little ways like that shawn, keep in mind that you are lucky enough to have grown up with your father around, when my dad found out my mom was pregnant with me, he took off out of state, and I never knew him till I was 8 and still don't have a real realationship with him. If this counts as hi-jacking your thread, sorry.
Yeah, he's probably a dick, but just don't do anything to shut him out completely. Just in case you might need something from him later on in life, you know.
i didnt grow up with him around, most of my developmental years (elementary school mostly) is when my parents were separated, its really hard to explain unless you actually sit and talk with me about it, because i cant type and tell stories online very well, but if you know it all, youd understand why id want to shut him out
Same story here. Only I still don't know my father, and I'm 20. Never one phone call or letter.
